In her late twenties, after suffering from Crohn’s disease for over 15 years, Lisa underwent permanent ileostomy surgery. Post-Op, she wanted to return to the active lifestyle she once had. Being the mother of a toddler it was imperative for Lisa to be able to be comfortable in her busy, action packed life. Her ostomy bag posed some challenges, both practical and personal. It was difficult to wear dresses and tailored clothes because Lisa was always worried about her appliance swinging back and forth under her clothes.

Getting together with a personal friend who had just graduated from fashion design school, Lisa knew there had to be a better way. Together they designed and developed high quality, fashionable ostomy underwear. Wearing the newly designed underwear, Lisa felt a new sense of confidence and realized she often forgot her bag was even there! She knew she had to share it with other ostomates.

Ostomy Secrets was born out of a desire to solve a special problem for one woman and has turned into a business that Is helping male and female ostomates around the country live a better life, full of confidence and security.
